The canvas material contributes to the finished image. A light gloss, a matte finish and natural cotton create different visual presences, even with the same file. The choice is part of the project alongside dimensions, lighting and the stretcher profile.

All three materials are printed with HP Latex inks and intended for indoor use. The weight indicates grams per square metre. On its own, it is not a measure of image quality.

Polyester: Colour and Practicality

Polyester is a useful starting point when preparing photographs, graphic compositions or a series for several locations. Its lightly glossy surface contributes to how colours are perceived. Check reflections in relation to the windows and lighting at the site.

For a project with several items, assess the budget for the entire configuration. Dimensions, stretcher profile and transport also matter. The canvas calculator shows the exact list price before discounts for registered business partners. Delivery is calculated separately.

Polyester-Cotton: A Matte Surface

The blend is 75% polyester and 25% cotton, weighing 300 g/m². Consider it when you want a matte finish and canvas texture. Compare a sample of the same image on polyester to see how the colour and feel change.

Consider the format early in planning: the maximum short side is 142 cm. If the composition requires more, discuss a different material or a split into several panels.

Cotton: The Material as Part of the Idea

100% cotton, 370 g/m², with a matte surface. A direction for original images and statement pieces where a natural material plays a role in the concept. View it up close and from the actual viewing distance.

Cotton allows up to 170 cm on the short side. For a large format, discuss the file, stretcher, site access and delivery together. The possible size is a production decision confirmed in the quotation.

What Else Changes the Result?

  • The image: the original file should have enough detail for the chosen size.
  • The lighting: the direction of light reveals texture and reflections differently.
  • The stretcher: VividWalls’ five profiles determine the depth and visible edge of the canvas.
  • The colour: a screen is a guide. For a specific corporate colour or coordinated series, discuss a printed sample before production.

We print with HP Latex inks carrying UL ECOLOGO® and UL GREENGUARD Gold certifications. These names refer to the inks; the specific material is chosen according to the project.

Choose with a Sample

For a project covering several rooms, it is useful to approve the material before the full series. Show the sample alongside the main colours, textiles and flooring. Record the chosen material and profile in the specification to provide a clear basis for later orders.

Samples are offered at 50% of the selling price. Send a file, dimensions and a brief description of the space so we can discuss suitable options.
